Find the recommended front and rear pressures on the driver-door placard or in the manual
Measure all four tyres cold, after the vehicle has been parked for at least three hours
Check treadwear indicators and groove depth in several places on every tyre
Inspect tread and sidewalls for cracks, cuts, punctures, objects and bulges
Compare tyres for one-sided, cupped or otherwise irregular wear

Use the vehicle maker’s recommended pressure on the driver-door placard or in the manual, not the maximum on the tyre wall. Have visible damage, bulges or irregular wear inspected by a tyre professional before driving.
